Things I Love Thursday: Sporty Chíc Vibes and Corn

Confession time:
I didn't know narwhals were real.
Weston asked me to read a Narwhal and Jelly book
the other night, and mixed in with all of the wonder and fiction were some FACTS about narwhals. I thought geez they're going to a lot of trouble to make kids believe these days.
Turns out they were just sharing the research of trained marine biologists.
My Enneagram 3 image-conscious self is taking a risk in telling you this, but I'm choosing to look on the bright side:
What else might be real?

I don't really decorate much because I'm not good at it, and my kids ruin things. But occasionally, I'll pass by a pillow or something and think it might make the place a little more seasonal/cozy/whatever.
These pillows were an impulse buy at Target the other day, but I like them.
And they're advertised as floor pillows, which is where they'll end up in about 20 seconds after my kids come home.

Kids when they get home from school: (Throw backpack on the floor. Throw pillows on the floor. Eat seven snacks.)
Finally have a kiddo playing soccer, and I can't wait.
Told myself I needed a chair awesome enough to keep my butt planted and not parading the sidelines like Led Tasso. (#IYKYK)

My closet is turning into an Aerie show room. Comfy and cozy and cute if you wish. This skirt it no exception.
The OTT style features the a drawstring and the softest/thinnest sweats fabric this side of heaven. It comes in joggers (regular length and cropped), shorts, and now this.
My collection is complete.
Until they come out with an OTT midi, maxi, kilt, whatever.
I will go all in.
Went to Target to get some USA themed stuff for high school football last week and ended up abandoning my task list when I saw these.
They just make me happy.
Okay so I actually got these for the USA theme because what is more MURICA than processed meat?

I love a good rugby shirt alllllmost as much as I love a baseball shirt.
Aerie for the win (again) on this new arrival.
Comes in about 6 varieties of colors, but I opted for the palette of my alma mater: UNC.
I love to shout it to the rooftops that I'm a Tarheel, but you never know when you're going to lose to an unranked team (VA Tech) and will need to be a little more subtle about your team spirit.

While I was typing about my love of rugby and baseball shirts, it dawned on me that I basically love sports wear of any sport I never played.

Made this on The Blackstone last night, and it did not disappoint.
Added a few jalapeños to it in hopes of picking all of them out for my portion, as I'm alone in my love of all things spicy at casa de Ussery.
It was kind of exciting to watch everyone eat their serving, waiting to see who would get the first missed jalapeño piece.
Kind of like a Russian roulette. But with much lighter consequences.
